Holiday Inn Express Chillicothe East, an IHG Hotel

We booked through Booking.com and had late arrival (11:30pm). they had one room left and it did not have a working TV. Didn't think it would be an issue bc we went to sleep right away. However, we needed a working TV to watch college ball on Saturday and the only thing they could do is switch us to a queen room - no king rooms available nearby our room. Chose not to move to another room, they could not accommodate us with a TV only change our room. Customer service at the desk and Manager could not compensate us for no TV. Small issue, but matters to me bc I am a Holiday Inn Member. I was lead to believe because I booked through Booking.com I was a "less than" customer. Not happy with customer service, but again, our issue was small, but stayed 2 nights and overall was satisfied. Breakfast was very good with a wide variety of breakfast each morning. They did this very well.

The great Breakfast. The comfortable beds. Short walk to the room from the parking lot and had luggage trolly at door made getting luggage to room easier. Close to highway with easy access. That is all

The hotel lobby was clean and inviting. The front staff was very friendly. The breakfast was good and the area was exceptionally clean. Our room was very comfortable. The shade feature at the window was the best I’ve seen at keeping bright lights out of the room at night. The small night light in the bathroom was perfect for overnight bathroom visits. Overall the property was great and I look forward to staying there again.

I stayed here to help break up the drive home from visiting family in Indiana. Overall, I was very pleased with my stay. The location is incredibly convenient, right off the highway. We checked in late but the front desk was very friendly and helpful. It is a small hotel that I think sees many routine travelers. But it was incredibly quiet and the rooms have good light-blocking curtains. The breakfast was also very good- with hot and cold options. The woman working there was interacting with a young family eating beside us and it was so sweet! I loved my experience so much that I'm actually doing the same thing and staying there this weekend when I visit family again.
